Privacy Policy

Houston Luxe Auto, LLC (“we”, “us”) operates houstonluxeauto.com and the rental and chauffeured transportation services described on it. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

Information we collect

• Booking data — name, email, phone, pickup/drop-off, vehicle, dates, notes.
• Payment data — Stripe processes payments; we store only the customer reference, brand, and last four digits.
• Identity verification (self-drive only) — collected via Stripe Identity; the document, selfie, and verification result are retained per Stripe’s privacy policy. We see only the verification outcome, not the raw documents.
• Proof of insurance (self-drive only) — uploaded files are stored in a private Supabase bucket with signed-URL access; only authorized dispatch staff can view them.
• Inspection photos — pickup and return walk-around photos for damage adjudication, stored in a private bucket.
• Communications — copies of email and SMS sent to you for reservation administration.
• Site analytics — Vercel Analytics (aggregate page views, no cross-site tracking) and Vercel Speed Insights (Web Vitals). No third-party advertising cookies.
• Error monitoring — when an error occurs we send the stack trace and request metadata (not your payment or ID data) to Sentry to diagnose the issue.

How we use it

To deliver the service you booked, process payments, send confirmations and reminders, run anti-fraud checks, comply with Texas Motor Vehicle Rental Tax obligations, respond to support requests, and (with your consent) send occasional promotional emails. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Third-party processors

We share the minimum necessary data with the following sub-processors to operate the service. Each is contractually required to use the data only for the stated purpose:

• Supabase — database + storage (booking, customer, documents).
• Stripe — payments, payment-method storage, and Identity verification.
• DocuSeal — e-signature for the rental contract.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Twilio — SMS delivery.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-bot challenge on public forms.
• Vercel — hosting, analytics, and Speed Insights.
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• Google — Google Business Profile sync for verified review aggregation.

We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

• Booking + contract records — 7 years (tax and statute of limitations).
• Inspection photos — 2 years post-return.
• Payment metadata held by Stripe — per Stripe’s retention schedule.
• Marketing email opt-in list — until you unsubscribe.

California (CCPA / CPRA) rights

California residents have the right to (a) know what personal information we collect and how it is used, (b) request a copy or deletion, (c) correct inaccurate information, (d) opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and (e) limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share data for behavioral advertising; nonetheless you can request the same by emailing info@houstonluxeauto.com. We do not discriminate against consumers for exercising these rights.

EEA / UK (GDPR) rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, your processing lawful basis is performance of the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interests in security and fraud prevention (Art. 6(1)(f)). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your rights — how to exercise them

Email info@houstonluxeauto.com with the words “Data request” in the subject. We respond within 30 days. To unsubscribe from marketing email, use the one-click link in the footer of any marketing message.
