There are four wedding vehicle categories that Houston couples actually consider: the Rolls-Royce Phantom (grand arrival), the Bentley Mulsanne or Flying Spur (sporty luxury), the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (modern executive), and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (group shuttle). This is a wedding-day-driven comparison of all four, from the team that dispatches them.

Rolls-Royce Phantom vs Bentley Mulsanne
These are the two vehicles most often compared. They are not the same car in different paint.
Rolls-Royce Phantom reads as grand arrival. The Starlight headliner, the long wheelbase, the rear coach doors, the V12. The Phantom photographs taller and more imposing than the Bentley. If you want a wedding video where everyone in the church audibly reacts when the car pulls up, this is the car.
Bentley Mulsanne reads as sporty luxury. Lower roofline, shorter wheelbase, more aggressive front fascia. The Bentley photographs as confident rather than imposing — closer to "successful couple arriving" than "movie premiere."
The common Houston solution: Phantom for the bride, Bentley for the wedding party. The two vehicles complement each other in photographs and the pricing fits most luxury wedding budgets.
When to pick the Maybach S-Class instead
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (long-wheelbase, V12, two-tone paint, $16,500/hour as standalone) is a quieter pick. It reads as modern rather than traditional. If your wedding aesthetic is contemporary architecture rather than chapel-and-cathedral — think a downtown skyscraper venue, a sleek modern reception space — the Maybach matches the visual language better than the Phantom.
Sprinter shuttles — the underappreciated MVP
Every wedding with more than 40 guests needs a guest shuttle. Houston traffic, parking shortages at venues, and unfamiliar guests trying to find addresses make shuttle service less of a luxury and more of a guest-experience necessity.
Houston Luxe Auto's 14-passenger Sprinter shuttle is $895 for a 5-hour package — which covers hotel pickup, ceremony, photographs, reception, and afterparty in a single loop. For weddings with 80+ guests, two Sprinters running staggered loops handles the entire shuttle without a wait line.
Timeline coordination — the part that actually matters
The vehicle is the easy part. The hard part is hitting the timeline.
Two weeks before the wedding, your Houston Luxe Auto wedding coordinator will walk through:
- Hotel, ceremony, photo stops, reception, afterparty addresses
- Family photograph drive-back windows
- Bridal-party pickup order (parents first or wedding party first matters)
- Photo-stop venues (downtown skyline, Hermann Park, Buffalo Bayou, the Heights bungalows)
- Contingency for rain (covered photo locations)
Day-of, our dispatch monitors Houston traffic in real time and feeds your planner ETA updates at each segment.
How far in advance should you book?
Peak Houston wedding season is April–June and October–November. Phantom and Bentley availability tightens 6–9 months out for Saturdays in those windows. A 25% refundable deposit holds the date on our calendar; you can swap vehicles up to 14 days before without penalty.
What's not included (and how to add it)
- Floral arrangements beyond standard ribbon décor — coordinate with your florist; we'll meet them at the vehicle the morning of
- Champagne or specialty drinks in the cabin — $35 add-on, includes Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label + flutes
- Vehicle wraps or custom monograms — special order, 4–6 week lead time
- Backup Phantom on standby — for weddings where the principal vehicle absolutely cannot fail, we'll stage a second Phantom at the venue. $500 standby fee.
